In addition to offering a wide variety of modern and contemporary artists, Sorelle Gallery is also an art advising firm. Our team will guide you through the process of art selection. We will help you set yourself apart through art --- whether it’s your home or office.
It's been a great year at the gallery. We represent a wonderful group of talented artists, and have a long list of pleased art advisory clients with new art collections they adore. Sorelle is excited ring in a new year and start new projects. But before we begin 2017, here are 5 of our favorite home installations of 2016!
We love the idea of making a statement right as you walk through the front door. Jason Young’s “St. Vincent Day Storm” hangs opposite a double window-lit staircase, capturing changing light throughout the day through his urethane and lacquer technique.
“Emerald Latte” by Teodora Guererra mimics the gestures of the ocean to round out this Westport waterside house’s guest bedroom. Reading a book in a cozy chair underneath inspiring artwork is the ultimate dreamscape.
Our client out in horse country (Armonk, NY) finished off her equestrian inspired décor with two of Kimerlee Curyl’s wild horse photographs. In the living room they framed “Vanishing Grace” to match a previously collected photograph. In the study they chose “Romeo and Juliet” to hang by the dual seating area.
This modern Darien home boasts two large paintings on opposite walls.
Above the fireplace hangs Ned Martin’s “Mind’s Eye” painted with oil on reclaimed aluminum. Jane Schmidt’s 50 x 50 Abstract Impressionist landscape painting,
“River” hangs above the couch.
A New Canaan couple chose to bring abstract wide-open spaces to their downtown condo. Two of Jane Schmidt’s paintings “Southward” and “Southern View II” hang in the common area that serves as dining, living and kitchen areas. We love the pop of color these paintings bring to this crisp, modern home.
